I'm Pedro Sáez, a product and web designer with a habit of falling down research rabbit holes. Heatroom started as one of them.

UK radiator advice is almost entirely published by companies that sell radiators. The numbers are rarely explained and the assumptions behind them are never shown. I wanted a resource that did the opposite.

Everything here is checked against manufacturer data — Stelrad and Myson output tables, BS EN 442 test conditions, CIBSE design temperatures — and the sources are cited on the page. The calculators show their working, including the ΔT they assume, which most UK calculators quietly leave out.

Heatroom doesn't sell radiators, doesn't take commission, and has no commercial relationship with any manufacturer or installer.

I'm not a heating engineer. For anything involving gas, always use a Gas Safe registered engineer — in the UK it's illegal for anyone else to work on gas appliances.
